U.S. & E.U. FAIL EXAM

It is not well known that the name ‘America’ derives from a Bristol, England merchant (Richard Amerike), that the design of the American flag derives from his coat or arms http://www.uhmc.sunysb.edu/surgery/america.html , and that the name of America was known in Bristol before 1500. As surprising as this may be, it fits in well with ‘America’ as a land not fully aware of itself.

I say “not fully aware”, not because the founding fathers of America were not serious about America, but because subsequent to the founding fathers (John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, …), those who came after them, especially the northern industrialists who won the Civil War (which was waged on behalf of Capitalism http://www.civilwarhome.com/civilwarindustry.htm , not for the sake of liberating black slaves) took the country lightly, acted superciliously, and had no hesitations about running it into the ground as we are witnessing it at this time.

The ‘slave issue’ played the same role in the Civil War (1861-1865) as the issue of ‘freedom’ plays in the current supercilious effort to globalize our planet on behalf of the descendants of that same Capitalism, which cares not a whit about ‘freedom’ or ‘life’, though it has increased its size by forming an alliance with the European Capitalists, which for diversionary purposes call themselves NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) countries.

As a resut, Capitalism has become more dangerous, at the same time as it is more vulnerable.

The dangers of Capitalism today are best seen in the Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea theatre of its operations. At the time of this writing, it is spreading its doctrine of ‘freedom from slavery’, now modified to ‘human rights first’ doctrine, to Syria and the Ukraine http://rt.com/news/ukraine-kiev-opposition-clashes-045/, and is preparing to begin a war against Iran.

The trouble with Capitalism is that it has proven a failure by the happenstance that puts control of the materialist philosophy into the hands of the rich. Nevertheless, Capitalism must now fight against enemies for whom industrialism is no novelty and who are better educated and mentally more disciplined than those forced to grow up in a society under capitalist dominion where the desire to consume is at a more intense level than is the ability of capitalists to dominate. To give it a technical explanation: Capitalism overextended itself, and now drains its accumulated wealth as water elevated to higher ground, given a start, siphons the water from the barrel of its own accord.

The centralized (federalized) government of the U.S. facilitated the siphoning process of its own power by overreacting to the 9/11 event, when it sought to make use of it to further the ends of some private individuals in government at the time. The attack against Afghanistan snow-balled (siphoned) into direct or indirect (proxy) attacks on Iraq, Libya, Syria, encouraged civil unrest in Egypt, the Ukraine, and there is no end in sight short of the barrel draining empty and the wind blowing it off its high perch.

One may argue that what the U.S. did was only logical, because the said countries sit, so to speak, above ground level (rather than be allowed to seek ground level), where they were put by the artifice of the colonial governments of England and France in an earlier day.

The United States however belatedly remembered that it is not a single nation, but a federation of over fifty States, which gave up their sovereignty for the alleged benefits of a Union. Unfortunately, the Union did not ‘work’ for the benefit of the potential of its nations, but for private corporate capital. All too often, State governments became springboards to ambitious governors who wished to become Presidents of the Federation.

Not surprisingly, once the Federal Government had destabilized the all too uncertain balance of Capitalist interests vs Community interests, and once it realized that it lacked unifying charisma, it began to arm the local police force as if it were to become an occupying army of the States http://libertyblitzkrieg.com/2014/01/23/why-is-a-gigantic-war-blimp-about-to-fly-above-the-skies-of-suburban-baltimore/ .

One always wants to fantasize that peace will prevail and that destabilization will not reach tremors above 8 on the Richter scale.

Though America claims to have a ‘charismatic’ government as a result of being a freely elected ‘democracy’, it is no secret that this ‘democracy’ is an illusion held up by a media that gets paid to advertise the consumerist fairy-tale ad infinitum, even as it denies a charismatic King, his wood, and true democracy the right to life, but panders it to the likes of urban environment protection groups that never suffer a martyr.

To put it bluntly, the U.S. government goes without charisma even among its own. How can we expect it to impose its imperialism on Europe?

It is obvious that the present EU is the consequence of a militaristic coup imposed through the barrel of the gun by NATO, which is to say, the present vision of the EU as an empire of European nations or ‘fatherlands’, which may provide some of its present leaders the Presidency of an Empire and, inspire them with the initiative to fool their own people (as the above mentioned U.S. State governors use their office as a stepping stone to the Presidency of the U.S.) is a grossly inadequate bonding mechanism.

Eso’s Chronicles 267 / 7
The King & I
© Eso A.B.

NEITHER GOD, NOR NOMOS, BUT KING

Having begun this series on the ‘King’ with Slavoy Žižek’s mischievous conjoining of the King with bureaucracy (The King and his Bureaucracy, Ch6, ‘Interrogating the Real’), it is only proper to conclude with the no less mischievous comparison that the pop philosopher makes of subjectivity with “dangerous hubris”, insisting that the claim to “authentic essence of humanity” lies “outside the domain of subjectivity”. Žižek posits the subject of authentic essence in Antigone and its human counterpoint in her sister Ismene.

I would call the other name of the “subject” that Žižek imagines—a “mask”. However, Žižek quickly becomes inconsistent and contradicts himself, when he decides to dedicate his book to an old Slovene communist, who in 1943 led an uprising of some 2000 starved Yugoslav prisoners against 2200 Italian soldiers who are their guards.

The Slovene prisoners succeed in disarming the Italian soldiers. After the war, the Slovene communist is arrested (no reason given why--by the succeeding communist-Stalinist government) and ten years later, he is forced to participate in the building of a monument that celebrates the uprising he led.

It is an ironic story, surely.

Knowingly or unknowingly, Žižek then tops off the irony by putting Stalin into role of the ‘King’, while the role of the ‘bureaucracy’ passes to Stalinist  communists, those who are enforcing Stalin’s ‘will to power’.

This leaves the reader confused as to why Žižek holds an old communist in such high esteem, for obviously the man revolted against the guards of the prison on the basis of his subjective feelings and decisions. The problem resolves itself only if one assumes that Žižek contradicts himself or Stalinists are the new Catholics.

I agree that the monument, the ‘subject’ of the ‘’monumental building project, stands for the ‘mask’ of the old communist and his rebellious comrades, who, I assume, are meant to stand for the ‘authentic essence’ of humanity.

But why should one believe that the monument stands also for ‘dangerous hubris’? Is that not like a Catholic priest demanding a pagan to renounce his old Gods (who up to the moment are a part of the man’s subjectivity) for the authentic subject of an ‘outside’ God, aka Nomos https://www.google.lv/#q=meaning+of+Nomos ? And is not Nomos synonymous with such repressive organizations of pacification as the Inquisition, the Gestapo, the KGB, and the CIA/NSA? Is not dismissing subjectivity as ‘hubris’ a matter of continued repression and denial of privacy? Therefore, is the monument not a monument to Homo Sacer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_sacer --the man who cannot be murdered, sacrificed, but only killed, because all he is is naked?

This brings us to “god” with a small ‘g’, because Catholicity (and Christianity derived from globalist Catholicism) surely discredited god when written with a capital G, and here Žižek and Schmitt discredit him with a small g. So, why not replace the missing figure of Trust with the long neglected figure of King?

Would not a King serve the 900,000 Latvians forced into economic exile as de facto ‘homo sacer’ better than the bureaucratic totalitarian democracy, which with the backing of the totalitarian democracy of the EU takes upon itself the authority to make them de facto homo sacer or, in other words, homeless?

There will be those who will claim that I would reinstall subjectivity in place of an objective (rational law) government that a Hegelian http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hegelianism bureaucracy presumes itself to represent. As Schmitt asserted: “all significant concepts of the modern theory of the state are secularized theological concepts”. Here we may remember that Catholic Christianity spent many centuries violently persecuting and inquisitorially repressing an earlier Christianity now identified with Bogomils, Cathars, and Krist-Yans.

The repression was necessary because like Žižek (a Hegelist), Catholicism believes human subjectivity to be a hubristic element rather than an inherent element of being human. In short, we have biocentered human beings http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biocentrism_(ethics) opposed by virtual or ‘man-made’ human beings, who are created by words imbued with violent attributes gained through innumerable acts (? 900,000) of de facto (unacknowledged de jure) murders.

To discuss the means by which the King may return is a task beyond these blogs, which are meant to argue against the totalitarianism of liberal democracy in an attempt to overturn its dictatorial order that has taken the helm in Latvia. Even so, we may say—in agreement with Carl Schmitt—that the nature of democracy is to behold the rights of the rulers and the ruled as one. In other words, this is what makes democracy a charismatic force, whereas today it has become an alien and an enemy.

I have argued for the return of humankind to the wood and leaving urbanism as a minimal element, an element to be determined by none other than the post-urbanist age itself (certainly not by a carbon tax).

I am arguing that Latvians make a serious attempt to recapture for their political estate the King. In a preceding State (1918-1939), though not the post-Soviet Latvia, Latvians did indeed experiment with the notion of the ‘king’s’ return, even though the word was seldom used. This experiment was enjoined by one of the founders of the national community, Karlis Ulmanis, who became President of the country as a result of a coup d'état in 1933.

Ulmanis was condemned as a dictator, and many hold him such to this day. I argue, however, that Ulmanis was ahead of his time, and that political science had not yet made such strides as it has made by our time. Be that as it may, a great many Latvians praise Ulmanis’ leadership, but suffer not expressing the praise because they find themselves under a totalitarian liberal democratic regime, which in turn is under the umbrella of a liberal totalitarian ‘democratic’ regime in European Union.

NOT-VIOLENT TERROR
29 Not-Violent Populism (I)

The urban slum dwellers are over a billion people or 1/6th of the population. Another billion people, who overlap with the slum dwellers, are the informal working class. The latter is composed of the so-called “denizens” of the neocolonial city, the rag pickers, hawkers, child laborers, prostitutes, sweatshop workers, and like. Together these two peoples make for two billion people or roughly 1/3rd of the total human population of Earth.

Add to the aforementioned two billion unfortunates another billion of subsistence level rural workers, and we see that fully a half of the human population on Earth lives outside of the formal economy. As the word “denizen” indicates, these outsiders are not “citizens” in the sense of being among the politically accounted. Denizens are a people of no account. Many denizens live in dens, spaces below the ground level. If they also find their way to the above ground, they are found at such unlivable places as near-city swamps, desert dunes, decrepit lower-end housing projects, and railroad tracks.

As current global financial and economic difficulties prove, denizenship is not the affair of some third world republic trying to raise ostriches in the northern climate of Northern Europe. The problem is the result of a global systemic failure (think of an electric grid) at a time when things cannot be fixed as per usual—not even by a large country such as the United States of America or America, Europe, Japan, China, India, Russia put together. As the words “system failure” indicate, the fault is in the system, and it is reasonable to believe that the fault is part of the system from its inception. However, whereas the fault could perhaps have been corrected in the early days of the system, today the fault dominates and has become the system’s destroying angel.

No doubt, we are shocked, because we have an idea of what it means. If we do not believe that it means doom or The End, we suspect that we will die in great numbers, indeed in such great numbers till humankinds early death driven creativity returns. It is only then—after the great dying of those inside and outside the moneyed circles—that the dead will succeed in winning Utopia for those who remain. The dead will then reinstate a death that is again worthy of the starving Buddhist monk in sculptures in public places in far away lands in bygone times. (http://tinyurl.com/n6dwmv )

If one seeks to discover intelligence from another planet, one ought to begin with searching out one’s own. Even so, it is not possible to look and see one’s self when half the populations lives in mega cities that surround their habitat in a cocoon of virtual reality. It puts the populations of cities completely out of touch with the worm that airs root and soil.

An unwritten law of the mega city is a prohibition to discuss or encourage death. For example, death was not allowed as a subject matter between patient and doctor in Belgium before 1998. Because the law was changed at that time, an increase in requested euthanasia cases has been noted, though no great rush of them either. However, the numbers of deaths resulting from high doses of pain killing drugs have increased more significantly, because at the time of changes in the euthanasia law, restrictions against pain killing drugs, especially morphine, were also reduced. The latter, while easing pain also slows breathing. Be this as it may, what is important is that when it comes to determining one’s hour of death, the state presumes to have a greater right over you than you yourself. It is this very presumption that lies at the root of the system’s collapse and the anger of the destroying angel.

This series has argued that the Russian mathematician Anatoly Fomenko is quite right to say that history is chronologically accurate only since the 16th century. It was at that time that a historian named Scaligeri created the history of before the 16th century from fragments of uncertain chronology. Scaligeri glued the fragments together in such a way as to provide Roman Catholic ecclesiastics (who authorized Scaligeri’s chronology) with an antiquity they and their church otherwise had no right to. The one thousand years or so that the church gained because of Scaligeri’s manipulations increased its authority greatly. This is why the Catholic Church could present itself as time tested and the only religious authority worth taking seriously. With nothing more than force of bias (when needed enforced by the military, the arm of secularism that hid the mailed fist of neoChristendom), the neo-Christians could and did present archChristianity as a pseudo religion, pagan, and, thus, irrelevant.

Since Jesus replaced John (a native healer who healed with water), who was also the prototypical man wandering the Earth looking for Truth, Jesus (whoever he was) was made God and put in charge over the human species dumbed down by violence. As a result, John (sourced in Everyman) no longer had the psychological supports necessary to live the life of a self-sacrificial warrior saint and keep his followers from being turned into nobodies.

At this time, the people of “developed nations” are unaware that they, too, are the dumbed down ones. A reliance on the nuclear bomb has propped up for them the illusion of power and control for too long. Nevertheless, the people of the developed countries are becoming aware of the denial of death by their governments, and they have taken the first steps to check them. The manner of resistance may seem shocking, but on consideration, maybe it ought not to be. These steps of resistance take shape as assisted “suicides”. http://tinyurl.com/nasgtl

*The word “God” is in itself meaningless, but depends on its charisma by a collective subjective self, which is imposed on the collective from an outside, supposedly objective authority. The imposition of one subjective God over another is reflected in the words of Psalm 67: “Rise up O Lord, and may thy enemies be dispersed and those who hate thee be driven from thy face”. The “enemy” of God are the Johns of archChristendom, who have their own God Yan, one who is Everything within and outside of All in the now and the past.
