The following is a video of a young MIT economics professor-‘priest’ of the order of PhD being forced into a corner by a politician doing little more than repeating back to the priest his own words http://www.infowars.com/mit-prof-gruber-just-trying-to-look-smart-by-calling-americans-stupid/ .

I am not known for looking favourably on that group of men and women who presume themselves to step in between the individual and his-her God (or Eternity) in order to enable yet another group of men in the business of politics to become newly minted Gods as it were.

My perspective is influenced by my spiritual inheritance, which comes through an old and labyrinthine line issuing from a long line of ancestors of which I can trace a) five generations through church records; b) another five generations or more through the analysis of my dna; and c) ten more generations through what I know of religious history, specifically as it effects eastern and western Christian theology. True, much of this ancestry is shrouded in fog and lacks detail, and such pathways as I have reconstructed are through pareidolia that comes naturally to a poetically inclined mind. The poet necessarily tests and plays with words—whether they be of grasses or trees or whether they be form clusters of thoughts—a practice which allows words and word clusters to combine in such ways as to provide the poet and his audience with new insights into the nature of things.

The word clusters that issue from the young MIT economic professor damn him as a representative example of a ‘priesthood’ of atheists that presumes to rule in our time in no less audacious manner than once upon a time the Dominicans and the Franciscans presumed to impose their rule through violence over 12^th century Europe.*

Incidentally, the Franciscans named themselves after the Franks, who had settled in the Benelux after being forced to flee from Byzantium herders of reindeer, while the Dominicans originate from the environs of the battle fields of a crusade in Languedoc.

As if to do professor Gruber’s arrogance one better, biologist Richard Dawkins, attacks the very nature of human beings who perceive their consciousness to be more than imprisonment in matter that makes up the materialist and behaviourist body politic and is limited to the brain mass in their heads. The discussion at the link is designed to project biologist Dawkin’s views, not to test or analyze the views of the participants or the presumptions of Dawkins himself. My view is that the discussion is at a third remove from the events that motivate their remembrance—if we give credence to the concerns that question the validity of the Catholic version of history, which arose  from the priests of Western Christianity siding with governments which founded themselves on the repression of people through the imposition of taxation and removal of the 11^th Commandment from the Bible. While there is no direct evidence that there ever was an 11^th Commandment, we may deduce its existence through the fact that no one in the West of yesterday or the World of today questions taxation or doubts that it is an evolutionary by product of Nature once it is factored into the social fabric.

It is worth remembering that the form of government known as ‘democracy’ has no attraction for the majority of people (except perhaps at the time of the overthrow of a king explicitly opposed to his self-sacrificing predecessors). While today kings are no longer facts of life, we have massive state propaganda aimed against ‘communism’, which defines as common ownership of everything (or as: “a socioeconomic system structured upon common ownership of the means of production and characterized by the absence of social classes, money,^[3][4] and the state”. What is generally omitted from the last definition is the fact that elitist leadership has forced humankind from the wood into the desert and rubbish pile of the fort-castle-city, where the beneficiaries of the desert of concrete is the elite, while the commons is forced to abandoned the ‘gifts of nature’ which accompanied humanity as it rose to consciousness.

What differentiates Marx’s communism from Nature’s communism is “ownership of the means of production”. Production in our time is no longer in the hands of the bourgeois, but pseudo-state corporatism. It was clear from the beginning of the Industrial age that state corporatism was in no way equivalent to Nature’s communism. Today, we have additional proof of the non-equivalence between the production methods of nature and corporations in the exhaustion of natural resources and energy needed for their extraction—as the following podcast makes clear http://traffic.libsyn.com/kunstlercast/KunstlerCast_253.mp3.

The question that confronts us today is: How are we going to survive? The answer: not by ‘democracy’; but by the self-sacrifice of that God who affects our imagination.

*St. Dominic presumed Western Christianity to be superior to Eastern Christianity, which prevailed in Albigensia (now part of southern France), and helped wage war against the Cathars, eastern Christians who had gained the loyalty of the local populace by their self-sacrificial ways. Western and Frank led Catholic Christianity devised various ways to dismiss the Cathars as undesirables, not least by proclaiming that they were a recently arisen heretical=Manichean sect, in spite of the fact that evidence leads to the conclusion that the Cathars (artisans who likely specialized in weaving and making chairs) were the true followers of King John, whereas Jesus Christ was an invention of the tax imposing Franks.

Just how the Sun (Sonne, Saule, Solntse) came to change her feminine aspect to that of a male is largely ignored by linguists. One may suppose that their excuse is that linguists are not historians. Which is to ignore that historians of our day are as ideology bound as Catholic historians who wrote Christian history and subsequent events. This is essentially what the Russian mathematician and historian Anatoly Fomenko is trying to tell us, even as American historians perceive Western history the way the American government dictates it happeaned or what it means. While there are some American historians who question the American government’s perspective of the 0/11 event, most academic historians toe the government line eventsof9/11 . Now imagine, if a thousand years from now that same ilk of historians parot the historians of today as those of today parot the Catholic historians of the 16^th century?

But there it is: suddenly Saule becomes the name of a male king (of a Jewish Commnowealth, no less) and his name is pronounced ‘SaulS’

This is why pareidolia becomes a necessary tool. Its echo=like effects help unravel the notes after they get shaken in a tin can with a handful of pebbles, and we are told what we heard is Beethoventh 9^th Symphony.

Every skeptic of the story in the Bible is likely to have his-her own methods of reconstructing the events back to when the disturbed whole was still Sun. I will start my version by reading Sauls without the suffix ‘s’, re: Saul; which in my ear rings very close to the word we know as ‘soul’.

Back in the days before materialist ideology had seized power and declared itself to be the Truth, the soul‘ was the ineffable substance or  breath of life, a kind of ghost, within us at the time of our baptism or some other kind of initiation. The New Testament, the Catholic story of the origins of Christianity, portrays the soul as a dove  that lingers above the head of Jesus while he is baptized in the River Jordan by John, the embodiment of pre-Catholic Christianity, when its believers still largely resided in the wood or field. If we look closely, we will note that while both men have haloes above their heads, the halo above John is slightly larger. We may interpret that Verrocchio who painted the picture, still had a vague memory by way of history longue duree of the Suns former eminence. The halo is of course a replica of the Sun. In effect, the halo is to the Sun, what the name John is to the name Jesus—both are power-over replacements made after the introduction of governments which came to power through the imposition of taxation. Unfortunately, the American Revolution against the rule of the English, primarily because an unfair imposition of a much resented tax, is the last time the people/ludy rebelled against it.

However, this is not to say that the Boston Tea Party are the last of revolts against taxation. Very likely a significantly larger revolt looms before us (again in America, though it could be in my own Latvia), because today the imposition of the tax is the exercise of private corporate or parliamentary power over the people, and the government has created levels of debt that only death of the present form of government (capitalist controlled democracy) can bring about.

Interestingly, most academic and government savants would argue that it means the ‘End of the World’ as we know it. And, indeed, that is likely, just as the original ‘fur tax’ led to the displacement o the Franks from Byzantium to the Benelux. The event also resulted in the rewriting and redoing (unfortunately) of early Christian practices with the violence of Western Catholic/ globalist cultures (the seizure by the tsars of Siberia and Alaska is a direct result of the bloody fur tax). Unfortunately, the Siberian natives did not have a rich Uncle Sam to buy them their freedom--though in light of today’s events one may argue that the American people, too, were ultimately enslaved by the burden of taxation.

It remains to be seen how the issue of taxation resolves itself, but the recent formation of the Tea Party movement Tea Party movement gives us a hint, and the issue of taxation gives it a hint of the path to pursue in the future.

THE DEATH OF 1^st CHRISTIANITY (1)

We are told by the consensual historians of the West and East that in 1240 Kiev was captured by the Mongols of Ghegis Khan [John (possibly Angus) the King]. Russian mathematician and historian Anatoly Fomenko disagrees, and argues that the Mongols were never plentiful enough to make an invasion.

My own view agrees with Fomenko, but for a different reason.

In my view the Mongols were invented by the Russian Orthodox Church to cover up the fact that it had accepted the Western version of Christianity. In fact, the Mongol invasion was a continuation of the invasion that was  begun by Western un with the so-called 4^th Crusade (1204), which mysteriously stopped at the gates of Byzantium and did not continue on to Jerusalem as the organizers of the Crusade had first told.

The Christianity reigning in Kiev and Eastern Europe as a whole before 1204 and 1240 was forced underground and little by little over the next several centuries destroyed.

Let us remember the Crusade of 1208 against the Cathars (?Bogomils) in Languedoc, now France, and Yersika, now Latvia. These events were not new enterprises, but a continuation of the 1204 attack on Byzantium, which thereafter was renamed Constantinople. In southern France and the Baltics, too, the old or first Christianity was liquidated in favor of one invented by the West [with considerable help from one called St. Augustine and many other paid agents (Bishop Albert in Livonia being one of them)].

The ‘hereticism’ according to the consensual establishment (the boyars and princes with their lobbyist the priests and various specnaz groups of monks known as Holy Orders) came as ‘hereticism’ by way of the East, from Iran and Syria, and were known as Asian Manicheans, Neo-Manicheans, Massalians, Patarenes, Dualists, and more.

As for who these ‘heretics’ were in actuality, we may discover by taking a closer look at the name Patarenes. In fact, this group was known in then Livonia as ‘Pastaljāņi’ or later ‘Pastalnieki’. Even today, anyone who is long on his or her prayers is said to be saying ‘Pahtari’. The name ‘pastala’ in Latvian means a primitive form of a ‘shoe’ cut from pig leather http://www.kasjauns.lv/galerijas/pastala_by_linda_leen/peleka_pastala.jpg . It is still sold as a souvenir item in Riga to tourists. The nearest use today of the pastala is as a ballerina shoe, with the difference that it has a hardened toe.

The manner in which the name of ‘pastala’ found its way in the name of the Patarenes is when the consonant L began to be pronounced as an R. Thus, former Amsteldam is now known as Amsterdam, and ‘pastala’ became the root for ‘Pastarene’, aka the Traveling or Wandering weaver, aka the Wandering Jew—Ahasverus. Weaving, a necessary art in those days, was adapted by the Pastelenes in Livonia and elsewhere as their mobile tradesmark; it opened many doors to them and their Christian or Christian King John’s message.

Due to the dogmatic pressures of the Lutheran Church, the Latvians to this day do not connect one of their most sacred folk relics, the belt from Lielvarde https://www.google.lv/search?q=Lielvardes+josta&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=ldBPU-muL4nnywO3kIDACw&ved=0CCgQsAQ&biw=1093&bih=426 , as the work of the Pastarenes or Bogomils.

The 4^th or was it the 1^st Crusade(?) was a political movement on behalf of the elites that lasted a very long time. Thus, the 1240 invasion of Kiev by the ‘Mongols’ and the 1360 convocation of the Bulgarian Church Council, the latter (‘Orthodox Christianity’) especially aimed to condemn Judaism and Bogomilism, which appear to have had close contacts at that time. The hold on Bulgaria of the First Christianity was strong and thus especially abhorrent to the elites from the West.

The strength of the Bogomils arose from the fact that it had roots in the indigenous population—then still mostly people of the wood. For example, the Synodicon of the Tsar Boril describes Bogomils thusly*: “…those who on the 24^th of June, the birth of John the Baptist [I read it as ‘Ian the Basil’] practice magic and gather fruits and that night perform foul mysteries like the pagan [pa-yan] rites.”

The 24^th of June marks the date of the summer solstice, and it is still celebrated by the Latvians (as Jāņu diena) and southern Slavs as ‘Ivani deni’.

Because the 2^nd Christianity of the elites (then called Catholics, now fully secularized as Globalists) eventually prevailed over the 1^st Christians, the latter became increasingly identified with pagans (pa-yans), with magic, and popular superstitions. Indeed, there came a time when Bogomils lost all leadership and their most important rite became a ‘folk festival’.

As for the leadership of the Bogomils, most of them met their fate on a pile of burning wood. This was the first ideologically motivated act of deforestation. It is from this time on that the People of  Byzantium and now the entire world were subject to taxation of the State at its will.

A Civilization of Persecution

THE MILITARY PLEBS

As I wrote in some older blogs, among my acquaintances is a young woman who works as a prostitute in Riga. I mention this in the context of the economies of the peripheral countries of the EU, which are designated to become part of the Federation of the EU. The economic conditions where I live are horrific enough (and have been such for many years) that many young Latvian women employ themselves as prostitutes in the Latvian capital.

An acquaintance was recently telling me that in a question and answer television show where the prize for the correct answer is money, the question came up: which is the oldest profession: sowing or whoring? When the contestant guessed: “sowing”, she lost her standing, because the right answer according to the MC is “whoring”.

According to R.I. Moore, whose theme “Persecuting Society” (Blackwell), I expand on in this series of blogs, mentions in his book of that “…the familiar phenomenon of urban prostitution… comes clearly into view in the cities of Northern Europe in the second half of the twelfth century….” While prostitution as a ‘job’ for females appeared due to the rise of urbanization and dire economic circumstances in the countryside (it had not been known as a profession in the countryside before its replacement by the city), it was not prohibited, because the king, church, and nobility profited from it. However, later Rome (perhaps after having some second thoughts) decreed that prostitutes should be excommunicated. This led to “…the treatment of prostitutes [to] resemble that of the Jews….” (p. 91)

My own response is that I believe that the contestant was more right than wrong, because the oldest profession—contrary to popularly disseminated belief—is not prostitution, but thievery. In antiquity this was a crime severely dealt with: the thief often lost his-her hand or fingers.

However, gradually this offense against community solidarity became one of the most common crimes on the books. Why should this be so?

In a previous blog (293), I pointed out that the beginning of Capitalism is not to be sought in business or trading activity, but in taxation. Taxation most likely came about as a result of the robberies, which the Vikings committed against some shaman’s faith healing station or temple, where local people tended to leave gifts for the Gods whom they believed helped heal them.

Out of necessity to defend the community about him, the shaman turned into a military leader and, thereafter, into a King. As the attacks from the Vikings did not cease, but plundering parties actually increased, the shaman-King was forced to ask his people for ‘donations’ (as we might call them), which became a necessity and eventually were instituted as taxation. This began, most likely, in ancient Byzantine Empire.

In antiquity, taxation was not collected to support the pensioners, who were believed to be able to support themselves or be supported by their families, but it was to support the armed men with who the King surrounded himself. However, in due course, a part of the taxes also found their way into the King’s own pockets.

The evolutionary path is directly apparent: thievery < taxation < and corrupt government to this day.

This evolutionary path led to (as per blog 293) to major rebellions of the people of the wood and their direct descendants, the early peasants. [Incidentally, the early peasants were called ‘pagans’, which is a word derived from ‘pa-yans’ (half herder).]   I also pointed out, how this path from shaman as charismatic military leader led to irresponsible and unconscionable Presidents and Prime Ministers and governments. Except for the leadership of such governments, which militarily powerful ‘democracies’ in our times have declared ‘dictatorships’, and whose leaders have been tried and hung, no leaders of so-called ‘democracies’  have been brought to trial, convicted, and hung.

Nevertheless, the ‘gap’ in our day is not only between the rich and the poor, which the media deliberately emphasize, but is also evident between those who are asked to sacrifice their lives vs the privileged who do the recruiting, yet make no sacrifices of their own. In the last case, I am thinking about the ordinary soldiers who come from the ranks of the plebs vs the political leadership among who are few who are not millionaires.

We are taught to believe that mutation and evolution moves on through logical steps, except that we fail to ad that the steps have logic of their own and are seldom determined by the logic of the political establishment itself. For this reason, the greater significance of deforestation--whether accomplished by ordinary cross saw, chain saw, or artillery—is not agriculture (though not discounted), but mass murder by machine guns and the order of government that follows.

Though we discount the effects of these ‘victories’ on soldiers, and though these ‘effects of victory’ are seldom noted by the public or the media, their cumulative effects on the wounded is not negligible. The most obvious consequence of one such ‘victory’ is that the German peasant insurgency of the 16^th century may yet discover its future in an insurgency of 21^st century military, a topic deliberately not discussed—likely due to pressure on the media by the military and political elite.  Nevertheless, if one looks around, dissatisfaction among the military plebs, certainly the ones who return from combat zones with grievous physical and mental wounds is steadily increasing.

Just as the German peasant revolt of 1525 was preceded by many other revolts, revolt among the ranks in the military, too, has a history. The most famous one is that of the crew of the Russian naval battle ship ‘Potemkin’ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_battleship_Potemkin .  (1905 Revolution, contributed to the 1917 Revolution). Interestingly, a naval ship (including submarine) is one of the last places in the military where the captain of the ship shares the fate of the crew. The top leadership of infantry units are generally absent from the battlefield, but if for some reason are close, an armed helicopter is surely spinning its rotors and waiting to whisk them away at a moment’s notice.

In short, the military command of all modern governments works on the principle of the charismatic and ‘imaginary King’ who acts as the ruler of the people of the wood, which in the modern age has been replaced by the urban desert. Once the charisma of a leader is shattered, what takes place is the braking apart of the community into a ‘democracy’ of shattered loyalty. The following link, a German (Das) interview with Snowden http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f93_1390833151 , however, points in the opposite direction, i.e., the hubris of government officials to themselves murder the plebs of the ranks of the empire they believe themselves to be the leaders of. While the threat is no bluff, it may well be hubris.

The European elites, having formed a European Union along the lines of the English Magna Charta on behalf of English Lords and Princes, have been creepily crawling in their long tradition of unilataralist ways over the people and nations of Europe for many years, even centuries.

One does not have to look far to see how the cream has been skimmed off the top of the labours of the people of Europe, at the same time as the Europeans have been exposed to a steady stream of neo-liberalist adverts of how “good” the skim milk that the political centrifuge sends to the jar for lesser gravity products is http://creamseparatorgallery.webs.com/photos/1labelsep.jpg .

The model of ‘parliamentary democracy’ has served the European elites well in spite of the French, Russian, and German Revolutions signalling warnings that the model(s) on which European society was being formed suffered from great shortcomings.

One of the reasons why the ‘model’ of parliamentary democracy has served the elites so well is because in spite of a number of deadly political upheavals, even in the face of seeming populist victories, the ultimate victor has remained the elite. In war the political elites almost never die. Why is this?

I have argued that the reasons are social separation as strict and severe as in the Indian caste system. The separation, preceded by biology driven altruism, may have evolved step by step and not necessarily in the same sequence in all species.

A. The earliest step toward inequality is theft. Theft is one of the most common traits among adult animals, say, birds, who have no compunctions about picking off the seed right in front of the beak of their neighbours. Of course, the birds do not call this ‘theft’, but merely ‘taking what the other has not yet taken’. The first sign of altruism and differentiating between theft and giving probably begins with the ‘gift’, observed in birds feeding their young. Among animals, the mother offers the young suck of her very body by way of transforming designated parts of the body into milk producing glands. At a later stage, the father may also join in feeding the young by sharing with the mother and the young in a recently killed gazelle. Later yet, comes the mating ritual, in which the male partner may court the female with a gift of food. The question of who gives the ‘gift’ first, the male or female, is a tricky one. B. The second step is a conscious attempt to reverse biology initiated altruism. Such is the institution of taxation. Taxation began with the imposition of a tax system on the European nomads, the Evenks of Tartaria. The early tax was in animal pelts. The taxes probably began as a result of the Viking invaders threatening and pressuring local rulers along the river basins of the Volga, Don, Dniepr, and other rivers. The rulers were then forced to pressure and repress the people of the societies they led in their capacity as ‘sacred’ (self-sacrificing; God ordained) kings.

Taxation resulted in a top-down rule even in societies where such a rule did not exist previously and was fiercely resisted. For reasons of obvious advantages it brought to the elites, the system spread quickly and introduced altogether different societal and political parameters.

C. In order to decrease the inborn (biological and genetic)—and permanent (until perhaps genetic engineering in the offing today)—opposition to taxation, the elites needed to change the religion that underlay the egalitarian social ways that prevailed among the people of the wood and the savannah.

D. ‘Religion’ of the people of the pre-taxation days had little resemblance to the ‘religion’ of our time. The ‘religion’ of the Evenks was only incidentally imbedded with moral teachings or illustrated by some particular story of origin, but came with the mother’s “coo” and lullaby. In short, religion was imbedded in the language of the people, not in the names of Gods and tribal totems. These latter may be anthropological fixtures, but have little to do with ‘religion’ in a theological sense.

E. While I have no knowledge of the Evenk language, it appears to have left its influence far and wide. Many words that suggest movement, such as avant (garde), avec, advance, and personal and place names such as Ivan, Vanka, Lithuv(enian)anka, Latv(ian)anka, etc. are derived from the name of this Tartary tribe. Of course, over time, local idiom blended the pronunciation of the word to its own ways. 

The ‘religion’ of these ancient people is closely related to what our dictionaries today pejoratively define as the ‘diminutive’ http://thesaurus.com/browse/diminutive Wilfully associated by grammarians with ‘small’ and ‘tiny’—as a result of the above mentioned change of memes in religion and theology—the ‘good news’ of the new civilization (neo-Christian) arising under the tutelage of taxation was the arrival of our present mesmerizing capitalist economic system.

Neo-Christianity through its emphasis on bodily resurrection (as opposed to the earlier meme http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/meme   that emphasized spiritually and psychically transmitted transmigration of souls), brought with it a heretofore unknown acknowledgement (by the superego http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id,_ego_and_super-ego ) of the fear of death. This fear in due course closed off access to leadership by example, the example including self-sacrifice unto death in the creation, forming, and maintenance of a cultural community.

By closing off thought about self-sacrifice unto death by the leadership, we close off thought about any ‘the third way’ solution to our current political impasse.
