Eso’s Chronicles 226/ 12
Blood to Go
© Eso A.B.

America’s misfortune is that it inherited ‘democracy’ in the form of an unsolved European crime, but was fooled into believing that the crime was a divine gift through the Magna Carta http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magna_Carta , Pilgrims-Calvinists http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_religion_were_the_pilgrims , and the Age of Enlightenment and Reason http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_Enlightenment.

What America has not understood to this day is that urban ‘democracy’ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_democracy is a delusion that finds for itself a delusionary act to translate into. It is like you have just come on the street after seeing a fantastic movie and are asking yourself: “Where can I find myself a lover or heroic role similar to the one in the movie?” You find the answer by going into a pizza parlor and ordering a pizza with anchovies. In short, you slap yourself in the face with the tail of a fish.

True democracy exists only in the wood, where every tree offers an opportunity to either hide or climb if whoever comes towards you appears stronger than you and you have not made your greeting friendly, or—if you are more courageous—you make him-her your dinner and no human rights organization will make an issue of it. In our post-wood civilization, where the ‘natural’ environment has been turned into an urban setting, ‘democracy’ is but a longue durée memory of the liberties in the wood, now best expressed through liberal capitalism, libertarianism, and libertinism. As stated in the previous blog in a slightly different context, ‘democracy’ is the death of death itself, which in every day language translates itself as “this is all there is” , “enjoy it while you can”, “the strong rule”, “the rich chose the music”.

I have also written that the event that set the modern era into motion was the substitution of the Christianity of the Wood with a Christianity of urbanites, which Christianities do not much differ from ‘democracy’ in the wood and ‘democracy’ in the city respectively. Because these bipolar versions of democracy and Christianity are not well understood and even less discussed, the original versions have fought the latter version with bloody and tragic fury, while the latter (in possession of nuclear bombs, and night vision goggles) claim the former belong in a oo.

I have no particular wish to pick on America, because—as stated in the first sentence—Europe is where the alternate or neo- versions of ‘Christianity’ and ‘Democracy’ took root and were the gospel stories were ghost written and ancient literature was rewritten. In so far as other governments (Russia, China, et al) have evolved influenced by European and American versions of Christianity and democracy, these, too, face a bloody comeuppance. As much as a comeuppance spells disaster, it cannot be avoided, because there is no other solution to the never faced problems of governments and the economy other than through a reintroduction of death in a manner never to be forgotten. I dare say, I see Robespierre, Stalin, and Pol Pot as comic book characters to the Saturn whom many artists have been prophesying as being on the way, but never quite succeeding in portraying the horror, because their works, always based on experiences of their times have never reached the crescendo that is yet ahead. Were we to create an artistic series, we would likely begin with the tapestries once covering piles of potatoes on a French http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/04/20/article-1378818-0BA5552900000578-103_634x399.jpg potato field, take a look at the Goya’s Saturn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_Devouring_His_Son , and end with Picasso’s ‘Guernica’ http://www.jkrweb.com/art/images/guernica.jpg , which in 2003 the U.S. had removed from the hall of United Nations http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2003/02/guer-f08.html  because Collin Powell had war on Iraq and execution of Saddam Hussein in mind.

It is worth noting that the false flag of urban ‘democracy’ has been propping itself up by selecting fascism and communism as the bugaboos which will seize power if ‘democracy’ is turned out of its blood smeared offices. America and its cronies in Europe have ‘outlawed’ fascism by pointing to the atrocities of Hitler against the Jews. Russia, too, through Lavrov, its foreign minister, states: “Sure enough, the Russian-Belgian contacts had to string along with the twists and turns of the European history, but we can say with full confidence that mutual affection between our peoples has been the constant of our relationship. Now that ideological contradictions are a thing of the past…” In other words, now that bloody ‘democracy’ has a clear field as a result of the collapse of fascism and communism and there appears to be no chance of a re-analysis, ‘democracy’ may resume ruining the planet.

As we ought to know, both Belgium and Russia have their own bloody histories. Belgium’s King Leopold II (1835-1909) exceeded Hitler’s and Stalin’s murders, perhaps more than the two put together http://www.historytoday.com/tim-stanley/belgiums-heart-darkness . Yet Lavrov’s statement clears the field for a Europe and Russia--‘knocked for a loop’ by their recent histories--to make recovery of their former ways and with renewed underhanded methods compete over the colonization of Eastern Europe through cooperative federalization greased by compliant politicians of impoverished nations. Sadly, the people of the formerly occupied nations are unable to gather their wits because their minds are massaged and whitewashed by urban democratic ideals and their forests are turned into tree stumps by banks.

Yet as a number of  founding fathers of American ‘democracy’ pointed out, especially Jefferson http://www.ushistory.org/us/20.asp , America was not a federalist nation. In short, at least some of the founding fathers of America implicitly argued that the future of democracy ought to evolve along the lines of an autarky. To be sure, some have suggested that an autarky is a de facto fascist state, while forgetting that an autarkic government was the nature of government when humankind subsisted on the goods of nature and these had not been exhausted by being turned into ‘resources’ by proto-capitalist and capitalist governments, which decimated forests to plant grains, which are more quickly turned into money than animal furs.

Unfortunately, Jefferson’s ideas did not prevail, and America, its territory at that time (1743-1826) yet in a natural state, was wide open to invasion by technology, which began its assault by building railroads and killing off the native population. Technology, no doubt, facilitated the development of capitalism, which exploited and continues to exploit the planet: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-24222392

The dangerous momentum that built America, turned catastrophic after the U.S. claimed to have ‘won’ WW2 (1945) and brought the Soviet Union to its knees (1991). Its wealthy, bloated, and simplistic minded elite began to overreach when they presumed to export ‘democracy’ with increasingly bloody methods to countries not yet directly under the control of their Federal Reserve Bank. As evidence of spying by the NSA shows https://www.reviewjournal.com/news/france-newest-ally-angry-over-nsa-spying , ‘democratic’ proto-invasions began as early as 1960s, though not yet on such a scale as in the present computerized era. Due to the financial and economic crisis, instigated by dysfunctional ‘democratic’ governments, now striking all Western-born nations simultaneously, Europe has become increasingly frantic in its attempt to become a Federalized Union. Brussels power plays have brought alarm to at least one European country—England.

Eso’s Chronicles 221 / 7
A Waterless Flood I (7)
© Eso A.B.

The title of this blog comes from Margaret Atwood’s novel called “MaddAddam”, a story of global disaster in the near future http://www.truthdig.com/arts_culture/item/maddaddam_20130920.

Though I have not read the novel, which on other occasions would disqualify me from making further comments, for all that this is not unusual. This is not the first time that I have met up with the problem, when a sidebar tells the reader “to see long excerpts from “MaddAddam” at Google Books, click here” ; but when I click here all I get is a short bio of the author and no ‘long excerpt’.

In short, the reader is left with this blogger’s own version of ‘a waterless flood’—words ad infinitum.

‘A Waterless Flood’  is a reference within Atwood’s book, offered to us through its reviewer, Michael Dirda, to one “… Adam One, who has long foretold the coming of a Waterless Flood that will cleanse the sordid and polluted Earth...”, (www.truthdig.com).

In any event, to return to the theme of the preceding blog: Zbigniew Brzezinski’s geopolitics as expressed in his book “The Grand Chessboard”, which example I was using to facilitate a discussion of the future of Russia.
What complicates the situation for Russia is less American geopolitical ambition, but a reawakened China making claim on the natural resources of Eurasian territories such as Kazakhstan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China%E2%80%93Kazakhstan_relations formerly subordinated to the Soviet Union. China is also said to want to lease some 6% of Ukrainian soil to grow harvests for itself. What makes China’s claim not only potentially violent, but also Revolutionary is Brzezinski’s attempts to reduce Russia and China vis-à-vis the U.S.A.—to ‘regional’ powers; which neither of them intends to be reduced to.

Interestingly, in the long term, protesting their status as ‘regional’ powers, causes the interests of Russia and China coincide. If they enter into a conflict with each other, they act in the interest of the U.S. and its European allies (military and corporate). The Revolutionary potential in the conflict of interests is for Europe, Russia, and China to radically change their geopolitical perspective (Europe, after all, too, is no more than a ‘regional’ power from Brzezinski’s perspective), and work toward integration of their political entities into a vast new geopolitical landmass called Eu-Ru-Chi http://www.livescience.com/18387-future-earth-supercontinent-amasia.html . This makes vastly better sense than a bank led geopolitical structure such as TAFTA http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-us-eu-transatlantic-free-trade-agreement-tafta-big-business-corporate-power-grab/5352885 currently in the making.

Impossible as integration of Europe and Asia may seem, it is not an impossibility.  The real obstacle to it is the imbalance of populations, the Chinese population being some six times larger than that of Russia. However, this problem can be overcome is Russia sees a way to integrate with the nations of Europe.

There may be no way around such an integration because the U.S. has military superiority many times over the military power of Russia and China combined and is implementing a strategy of surrounding Ru-Chi with military bases and missiles capable of delivering nuclear explosives. To short-circuit the military threat, Ru-Chi need to discover other means of undermining American and European military strategy. One such way is to reexamine the historical chronology concocted by both these ‘false flag’ powers. This brings us back to the Russian mathematician and historian Anatoly Fomenko http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0U7OUULZs4 .

Of course, I am not saying that the claims by Fomenko do not need to be further examined. Nevertheless, Fomenko’s research leaves little doubt that the chronology of history as presented to us by the academies of the West need reanalysis, which is likely to bring about a historical scandal, a reset of chronology, and a likely rearrangement of sequence of events.

If as this writer suspects, the chronology of history is closer to Fomenko’s proposals than that of the Council of Trent (1545-1563) and the Catholic Church,  the nationalisms brought into being by Enlightenment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_Enlightenment (an unwelcome and unintended consequence) and communal loyalties centered on language, may be replaced by loyalties to the the organic environment, which is in a state of collapse at this time.

NOT-VIOLENT TERROR
49 A Floating Dead Fish (I)
[The photos are of scenes not infrequent along Latvia's roads. Next blog photos of deforestation near Riga.]

It was W.C. Fields, the humorist, who had the line that a dead fish can float down river, but only a live one can swim upstream. The humorist also knew, as the photo at the link shows, that the way to get any government to spit out the ping-pong ball stuck in its mouth is to whack it on the back of the head with a ping-pong paddle. http://tiny.cc/rUb00  In this instance, the ping-pong ball stands for Latvia, which—one hopes—has turned out to be not to be quite as thin-shelled and crushable as the oligarchs first imagined, but a teeth-cracking stone egg instead.

No ‘normal’ Latvian would whack the head of a ‘live and normal’ Latvian government, of course. Nevertheless, given that the current government of Latvia can easily be recognized by the smell of corruption, a ‘normal’ Latvian (whoever he-she may be) may be turning to populism for help. Populism, like ancestor Gods, generally comes with a dozen heads or more. http://tiny.cc/lgocS  The heads are what in the language of political theory is known as ‘equivalences’. Equivalences are interests, who while generally going their own way, come together—align themselves as a single force—when some other group presumes to threaten their interests, maybe even existence.

The question of whether the heads of the Hydra can agree on who is their nemesis and focus their antagonism on the real target, is at this time an unknown. Unfortunately, up to now the government of Latvia has been able to distract the many heads of populism with money, alcohol, and Bear-jawbreaker medals. Come Johns’ Eve, the night of the Summer solstice—the festival that no Latvian named John ever missed even if he were to die soon after getting there from exhaustion—many now celebrate this holy day by consuming enough alcohol they are sure to fall or drive into a ditch.

The sorry state of the government of Latvia notwithstanding, the institution has the power to act as the surrogate for the banking industry and clean the bones of what is left. After the forests turn into logs measured by the cubic meter and are sold when commodity prices are at their lows, nothing but the memory of a people who parted their hair in the middle of their heads will be left of Latvians. http://tiny.cc/PX9Dc

It is unfortunate that such an end awaits a people who once upon a time were present at the founding of a culture that transmitted its values not by sermonizing, but through a ubiquitous genre of words known as the ‘endearing word’ and a unique form of households called ‘saime’. Anthropologists call these proto-Europeans—Indo-Europeans. This is not to say that the Indo-Europeans were a collective of tribes inverted upon themselves. That is what Nazi Germany tried to make of them. Rather, the Europeans had and perhaps still have a unique way of expressing and cultivating their spiritual and moral sensibility. I am of course referring not to European governments, but to the people of Europe, the mothers, relatives, and friends of who never call John John when they can endear him by calling him Johnny. Of course, we know or ought to know that the ‘endearing’ word is censured from all European media, the Latvian government and Riga media being only the latest to rework their country’s language from one with a lyrical tilt from the countryside (wood, farm, village, and small town) into a cobblestone lilac lacking endearing qualities thanks to bureaucratic Riga.

Because the people who were to become known as Latvians grew to maturity in times that were economically stable, they were able to imbed their moral and cultural sensibility in a) its proto-language (some call it Sanscrit, some Balto-Slavic), and b) a now lost social structure, the household known as ‘saime’ in Latvian. The ‘endearing word’ and ‘saime’ (a word that stands for a household and signifies a household’s greater priority over that of a family among arch-Christians) are at the root of Latvian consciousness as surely as they had forebears. However, both the genre of endearing words and the economic self-sufficiency of households are not only no longer in use, but stand in radical opposition to a consumer culture on warfare footing at their mere mention.

The war consumerism wages is against all who stand opposed to blatant promotion of a civilization where some are presumed to have the right be economically ‘more-equal-than-others’. Since the current Latvian government is the very embodiment of this exclusionary philosophy, it is for some time no longer the guarantor of the survival of Latvians as a people in their own right. It has become instead a brutal agent-teacher (yet another!) to better diminish what little is left of the people’s spiritual self-consciousness.
