7 The Betrayal of Populist Culture

(Part 1)

When in January of 1919 the Populist-Bolshevik Latvians under pressure of entente powers (who authorized* generals Goltz and Bermont-Avalon to form a Baltic-German military corps to defend the newly formed bourgeois Latvian government) withdrew from Riga to the Estonian-Latvian border, the provisional government of bourgeois Latvija, protected by a British naval squadron, waited out the situation on a ship in the harbor city of Liepāja/ Libau. As soon as Bermont began his attack on the Latvian Populist streltsy (aka mobilized insurgents; strēlnieki in Latvijan), the provisional government began preparations to return to Riga. When the provisionals arrived under BaltGerman and entente protection, the Bolshevik Latvians left Latvija for Moscow, where their Populist (largely volunteer) military units were disbanded. During the Stalinist purges most of Latvian officers in the Soviet military (because of their origin as insurgents) were shot on Stalin’s orders. Were the streltsy harboring germs of populism in spite of the fact that they had been turned into mobilized troops? Very likely.

Because Populism was not a well understood phenomenon, European Populists were faced with a tragic defeat. As far as Latvian Populists were concerned, they never understood what happened to them or why. Latvijan historians, sponsored by a bourgeois government, speak of them contemptuously to this day. Neither the Latvian bourgeois or the Soviet government, each for reasons of its own, had (or has) an interest in exploring and putting into words the sentiments and political orientation of the Latvian people or, for that matter, the people of Eastern Europe from Finland to the Ukraine, from the time of the Great Northern War (1700-1721) until today (2017). At the root of the problem is nationalism viewed through the political lenses of already defined political party ideology. This is one reason why the history of Eastern Europe needs to be rewritten under the auspices of the United Nations (after it has been rescued from the Security Council and its veto powers).

In hindsight, the tragedy is the result of a false history implanted in numerous cultures by historians of failed perceptions or outright lies. This is why the tragedy is somewhat understandable. It is the reason why this writer returns to the distant past and the murder of the Sacred King in Byzantium (renamed Constantinople by the NeoChristian Crusaders ). The last days of the Populists of deliberately so-called Dark Middle Ages are the beginning of times that have not yet done murdering Populists.

Our era was enabled when the Vikings (the bikers of their day) hit on the idea of taxation, wherewith they created what we know as government. Once created, bandit governments proceeded to murder Populist communities the world over. Inquisitors, Stalinists, and Exeptionalists are of the same ilk. East Europeans—trapped between the East* and the West—were among the last of the Populist communities. The bourgeois government of Latvija, reinstated by the West—after America’s president Reagan succeeded in outweaponizing a no less violent (by conversion) Soviet Union—continues its predestined role of a coo-coo quisling against the community of its origin. A beneficiary of Stalinist factory culture, the current postSoviet Latvian government continues the Stalinist purge of Populists. Instead of Stalinist deportations in cattle wagons, today’s quislings force the people to buy an airplane ticked to London or similar virtual dead end destinations. The policy of “regime change”, traceable to the entente created governments of WW1**, continues by way of an “exceptionalist” American government exporting democracy to all who are politically illiterate or retarded.

*Eastern Europe is ignorant of its beginning. It became what it is by the force of arms that were pressed on it as a result of its desire to resist the aggressor Vikings. The Russian Romanov tsars, especially tsar Peter the Great (with Vladimir Putin his latest admirer and ‘no blame’ offshoot) are among the reactionaries to Viking expansionism. By tsar Peter’s time the Vikings from Sweden were largely replaced by Viking kings of the European northwest. Brussel’s remains the centre of the Viking mafia (led by the likes of Juncker and Stoltenberg) to this today.

**There is little doubt that had the entente or fake democracies not interfered in the affairs of the Latvian people, during the times of WW1 and collapse of the Soviet government in the late 1980s, the nature of political culture in Latvija would have been very different from what it is today. Surely the country would not be occupied by NATO and its intellectuals, such as theyare, would be thinking for themselves.

Evidence that the people of Latvija were oriented (and biased) toward Populism comes from a number of facts. One is that the writers of the Latvijan Constitution (using the Weimar Constitution of Parliamentary Germany as an example) allowed a political party to be formed by as few as 100 signatories. This resulted in over twenty political parties in the Saeima of the First Latvian Republic, a phenomenon which lasted until (in 1934) the first premier of the Latvian government (provisional) K. Ulmanis arranged for a coup in which the bourgeois (disguised as the party of peasants, backed by a politically unsophisticated homeguard leadership) took control.

It was political illiteracy among the people of the new Latvijan republic that enabled the substitution of a Populist oriented people (a remnant of a self-sufficient people of the wood and ancient times) with a dictorship of a bourgeoise anchored in Western (Viking) elitist concept of humankind and government.

Political illiteracy among common people is a consequence of an intellectual elite’s gutless surrender to a ruling elites’ dictates, and failure to partake in the life of the Commons, indeed deliberate alienation from it by institutions of higher education. True, one may put the greater share of the blame on university administrators rather than professors. Even so, university faculties have allowed themselves to be turned into Ouroboros figures, where thumbsucking (notwithstanding exceptions) has become a daily rite.

Not surprisingly, there are among university teaching staffs teachers who openly advocate a Second Civil War in America. The goal of the American academic left appears to be to maneuvre the right into a position where it becomes its fascist proxy in a war against the East (Russia, China, etc.) and its own people. The left hides behind the right wing, because it remains under the hypnotic influence of technology, and fantasizes that against all logic the impossible will become possible. In this it is no different from Neochristian believers in miracles. Of course, the left hopes the right will win and extend the life of the left wing SUV for a century longer.

If this happens, the virtual economies of cities will refuse to take any responsibility for the destruction of our planet. America will have graduated and become a true exceptionalist and left and right, both, will walk on water.
