President Putin’s Long Tail
 

As I wrote in an earlier blog (EC 389ff) of this series, the fault with Russia is not because the aggressions of the U.S. and its lackeys at NATO have put it on the defensive, but because it refuses to acknowledge its humiliation at the hands of the Byzantine Emperor Alexis I and/or the orthodox Patriarch Nicholas III.

 

While I have stuck with the version of Anna Comnena’s story of events in Byzantium, there are interpretations that argue that the one who condemned John Basil (aka Basil the Physician http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basil_the_Physician ) to death was not Alexis I (who but executed him), but the orthodox Patriarch Nicholas III of Constantinople , the very man who accepted the Western version of Christianity and the primacy of the Western Pope.

 

As the aim in these blogs is not to give a precise description of past events, but a general outline only, it is entirely possible that it was Nicholas III, aka Grammaticus (aka Annas or Caiaphas, re John 18:19, 22), who the New Testament portrays as the ‘high priest’ who condemns John Basil (possibly John the Baptist) to the authorities.

 

As a number of links describe Alexius I as a ‘hunter’, who in that capacity captures John Basil, a major opponent of taxation through collection of reindeer furs, resulted in civil unrest between the local populace and the ‘Normans’. The unrest occurred in situ, i.e., the region of Byzantium, before these grew to such a scale as forced the Franks to flee from Byzantium to what we know as the Benelux countries today.

 

Apparently Patriarch Nicholas III favored the institution of taxation as a permanent feature of government. This not only created a schism between primal Christendom and those who rebelled against taxation (the latter primarily among the predecessors of Islam). The failure of the rebels to rid themselves of the Patriarch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Manzikert created a near  permanent division between what we know today as the East and the West. It is the failure of native Christians, to rid themselves from him that caused Nicholas III—in order to save himself—to seek union with Pope Urban II, an event resulting in the betrayal of the nature of humankind.

 

Such is the ‘tail’ that Russia, a presumptuous guardian of a falsified  ‘faith’ drags behind it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Believers .

 

Though the 17^th century tyrannical reforms by Patriarch Nikon of Moscow may to a degree (a la history longue durée) be confused with those of the tyrant Patriarch Nicholas III of 11^th century Byzantium, both Patriarchs effectively surrendered the social order of the people of the wood and East to the order of the urban desert people of the West.

 

The betrayal by the high priests of the orthodox Church of the ludi or people of the East, not to mention the offshoot of primal Christendom, re Islam, is what started what we know today as information wars (aka INFOWAR), that is, misrepresentation of history for as long as a thousand years.

Since the so-called Norman-Byzantine war http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byzantine%E2%80%93Norman_wars never really ended, but have returned to haunt us with renewed vengeance in Ukraine, it ought to be in the interest of humankind to reexamine its past. At least this writer hopes, that such a reexamination will point out that the result of the victory by the West was but the short-term creation of a civilization that has largely assumed the role of a vampire with a wingspan that covers our globe. The same vampire is not only sucking up all the natural resources of planet Earth, but as the French analyst Paul Virilio writes (City of Panic, Bert 2007, p 44):

 

“And so, after the sacking of Mespotamian memory [with the U.S. military studiously looking the other way] and the pillaging of the treasuries of Summer, this ‘information war’ revealed[s] itself for what it was[is]: a war against history, an attempt to destroy our origins…. A preventive war against this ‘immemorial’ memory that just wont go away… for those who pretend to rule …the present…[with] the ubiquity and instantaneity of the real time of telecommunications.”

 

Though Russia’s President Putin is not to be blamed for the aggressiveness of the West and can only sympathize with the need of Russia to resist it, one hopes that he is sufficiently informed about the real dimension of infowars and that continuing to mute the underlying issues (do we live in a green world or a grey one?) continues the consolidation of the rule of God under the rule of Man until the Sun no longer rises.

Speaking of War Subjectively 3

While I am not into numerology, I cannot fail to notice that this year, 2014, is the centennial year since the 1^st World War https://www.google.lv/?gws_rd=ssl#q=photos+of+ww1 ; a war said to be one of the most senseless, and ounce for ounce most costly in human lives. As Americans ought to know, the senselessness of WW1 was preceded by their own allegedly sensical(?) Civil War, which was fought on behalf of urban capitalism in order to eliminate rural capitalism https://www.google.lv/?gws_rd=ssl#q=photos+of+battle+of+gettysburg , and which (under the guise of freeing black slaves of the south) the urban north won.

The victory of the Union army of Lincoln, though Lincoln himself was assassinated (1863) by Confederacy and ruralist supporter  Booth http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/lincolnconspiracy/lincolnconspiracy.html , confirmed the defeat of the Ludites (~1812) in England http://www.luddites200.org.uk/theLuddites.html, and set the stage—by many intermediate stages—for the war in the Ukraine today. We may note that Booth’s main reason for assassinating Lincoln was Lincoln’s desire to form a Union. This ‘union’ may be likened to the desire of capitalist powers today to form a European Union, which, lacking broad based public support in Europe, is attempting to corral such support by fostering (with the help of America and its Trojan horse in Europe--NATO) a war of ‘liberty’ in Ukraine. Ukraine’s role to Europe is roughly the same as the Confederate role vis a vis the America Unionists some hundred fifty years ago.

The problem for the supporters of the European Union today is that Ukraine is supported by Russia, which has had a presence there for many centuries. While one may argue that Russia remains largely a rural power, it nevertheless has nuclear weapons, which draw an equal (=) sign between East (Ukraine) and West (Ukraine + EU and NATO) when we speak in military terms. A victory for a federated EU means loss of sovereignty to many heretofore sovereign nations. This compares, roughly, with the loss of importance of the original 13 colonies of America which had secured independence from the British raj in a War of Independence. Whatever their earlier ideas about sovereignty (especially New York and Vermont) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albany_Plan there may have been, following the Civil War the 13 colonies were forgotten.

As I write (September 4, 2014), a two day conference of EU and NATO nations is gathering in Wales, England http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-29056870 . As the conference gains traction, a war monger, the  former Danish PM Fogh Rassmussen attempts to fix everyone’s attention on the exceptionality and righteousness of the West by letting a professional liar,  the oligarch PM of Ukraina present his fascist war as a righteous war.

The Kenyan born President of the U.S., Barrack Obama, makes his case that Russia is engaged in “brazen aggression”, and that Moscow is attempting to redraw borders "at the barrel of a gun". As for the American ludi, they may have weapons, but their voice is like that of the castrati.

The Bilderberger attempt to remake the face of America puzzled when they chose a man of uncertain origin and credentials as the President for the U.S. However, the wide open gates between Mexico and the U.S. show just what the cabal of the oligarchs had in mind: the remaking of the American population (over the long-term) into that of the mestizos http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mestizo who prevails in Latin America. This allows the princes of the West all the greater ‘free hand’ or sovereign power to manipulate a disenfranchised citizenry a la ‘naked’ or ‘bare’ man as perceived by Georgio Agamben http://ceasefiremagazine.co.uk/in-theory-giorgio-agamben-the-state-and-the-concentration-camp/ .

While Agamben appears to delimit sovereign power the state and does not consider it for the likes of ‘bare man’, my own view is that as much as I agree with his point that the state has a tendency to create society in the image of a culture domiciled in a concentration camp, my effort has been to try find an escape from such an entrapment of the bare man by means self-sacrifice as defined by none other than him- or herself. Indeed, the potential for such an escape remains a core element of even neo-Christianity, in spite of the fact that it accepts taxation as a Deus ex machine in the service of the State, the very instrument that reduces all the rest of a state’s inhabitants to the level of mere monkey in the city https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_2qMSzSOKg .

Anyway, yes, the war in Ukraine—it’s all about the expansion of an unnatural limb of the U.S. into Europe!—if need be with the aid of nuclear devices.

Speaking of War Subjectively 2

Before I read James Joyce’s Ulysses, I read William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying, which is said to be among the best of American novels written in the style of stream of consciousness. This is more than fifty years ago. I remember that I was taken with the name ‘Vardaman’, which belonged to the young boy whose mother ‘lay dying’ and indeed soon died. http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/asilay/summary.html The name impressed me, because the word for a word in Latvian is ‘vahrds’ (vārds). Thus, the name Vardaman suggested to me that perhaps Vardaman’s mother Addie, who had likely named him, was of perhaps Baltic origins.

How Faulkner discovered the name is beyond me, though googling it leads me to a link http://www.houseofnames.com/vardaman-family-crest that tells me that the name evolved from the word ‘guard’, re ‘ward’. Though this puts my association in jeopardy, we may want to remember that before we guard ourselves with a sword, we guard ourselves with the word, a prayer. To this day there are people who believe that the better watchman is the wardsman who wards off evil with the magic of words.

The name Vardeman came to my mind after I had the dream which I record in the preceding blog. When I thought about it, it came to mind that the body of the wingless white drone stood for a coffin. According to Vardaman, the body of his mother in the coffin is that of a fish; and an airplane, too, is a sort of fish of the air. Unfortunately, a coffin does not fly, but if within it is locked a spirit, then if Vardaman bores holes in it, the spirit may fly. Again, the smoke coming from the chimney of my house is a hole in my house, and the smoke coming from the chimney is the genie escaping Aladin’s lamp to tell me a secret.

What is the secret the genie of the other 90% of my brain wishes to tell?

First, two years ago, I was visited by five men from the criminal police of a nearby city, who had been informed by Inguna—let it suffice a traitorous spirit, now a middle aged woman, who I had once helped get a college education and had recently paid arrears on her rent payments—that I was growing on my property marihuana. As the police in Latvia need not consult with any court, but may freely trespass on anyone’s property or privacy, one forenoon five men sans police uniforms arrived in my backyard, confronted me with their police IDs, and asked where I was hiding the ‘narcotic’. I invited them to go ahead and see if they could find any, which the police took this as an invitation to crisscross my properties, which included the kitchen of my apartment, where I allegedly had hid a tin of oatmeal cookies fortified with cannabis. The police found nothing, which gave me an excuse to explain to them that I was in fact for the legalization of cannabis, and that I found the tactics of the Latvian government which are aimed to repress discussing the desirability of legalization presumptuous to say the least. The leader of the gang of five told me that I should not be preaching such stuff.

Ever since the visit by the police, I have wondered if they left in my kitchen or apartment a listening device to entrap me. This is why in my dream, I am approaching my own home as stealthily as a spy. If the dream had provided me with a drill I would no doubt have drilled a few holes into the body Trojan of the drone left so casually in my back yard by the secret police created expressly to protect the government against such people as myself.

It may interest the reader that I am not against the police, and believe that it has a useful function in assuring that society functions in a nonviolent manner. However, I do not see the function of the police or government as one that interferes with a community’s privacy. Granted, ‘privacy’ can be interpreted to mean any number of things. In the case of the Latvian people, I see it as defined by the lifestyle cultivated by a homestead in the wood, which is where Latvians come from: as long as there is no violence committed against any of the neighbors or its own, the household defines itself and in so doing creates a culture.

To return to the invasion by the police of my home: no, I am not an angel. I have enjoyed partaking of a ‘toke’ ever since my early twenties, which is some sixty years ago. I was indeed growing a few plants scattered in a few inconspicuous places about my property and had told about this to a one who I presumed a friend. When that ‘friend’ informed on me and caused the police to come investigate, apparently this was not a well kept secret among its own—among whom I had a friend or two. It was these friends (I had facilitated the education of some, contributed money to this or another fund) who perceived that entrapping one whose godfather was the first president of Latvia would only facilitate criminal behavior of a corrupt government. Anyway, the way I know who betrayed me is that the police did not look for the single plant more or less right before their noses, which I had not confided to my foul ‘friend’.

Speaking of War Subjectively

When physicists discovered that their presumed universe could not be explained without the assumption of the existence of a multiverse, i.e., quantum physics, they recreated God—much as they hate to admit it.

This does not mean that I know that God exists, but I know for sure that atheists are people with their heads in the sand and their arses raised high https://www.google.lv/?gws_rd=ssl#q=head+in+the+sand+image .

I am also sure that when the atheists get through spitting sand from their mouths, neither cloning nor sex among the unisexed will be in fashion.

If the above makes sense (you are free to think it doesn’t), then globalization—an attempt to universalize our civilization—will fall apart not only in our heads, but be dead there as well.

The dismissal of our ‘right to a sovereign community’ by the corporate state by means of a no holds barred ‘sale’ of our planet will crash before the creativity (of households of the ‘47’— http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forty-seven_Ronin or their like) that no ‘sovereign individual’ can match. Let us remember that the ‘creative designers’ of our desert-like cities have their precursors in neo-Christian monastics of the desert http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_Fathers , which monastics, escaping from the woods that had become death traps due to Viking hunters collecting taxes (not only of animal furs but scalps of the ‘mongols’), fled to the deserts of Egypt and Syria, where their despair became a matter for the fantasies of the homunculoids https://www.google.lv/?gws_rd=ssl#q=meaning+of+homunculoids+  , who are populating the cities of our time.

The fears of the desert fathers fostered  http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-29011793  the ideal that the body (once upon a time associated with the wood) become bodiless, and the bodiless refugee Christians become singular virtual beings. In some way their effort led to the abandonment of the right hemisphere of our brain in favor of the left hemisphere where language and mathematics predominates http://psychology.about.com/od/cognitivepsychology/a/left-brain-right-brain.htm .

As the link explains, the story about the functions of the two hemispheres of the brain is a myth, nevertheless, the link fails to explain why the myth has found such wide acceptance among the homunculoids of our urbanized civilization. I venture to suggest it is because the myth contains (as per leads provided in the text above) an element of truth. This ‘truth’ may be defined as the subjectivity of the objective mind, a subjectivity the objective mind despises and ridicules, if only because what remains of the right hemisphere keeps pointing to the violence with which so-called objectivity continues to be achieved.  

Only yesterday, I was reminded by an acquaintance of the common saw that we use only some 10% of the capacity of our brain, while 90% is information goes to an unknown animal within us http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_percent_of_brain_myth . This, too, is a myth, but yet again the wide credibility given it by the public goes unexplained. Indeed, the credibility gap may be due to the fact that unbeknown to it, the public is being informed of the credibility of the myth by the receiver of the 90% of knowledge that is hid from our consciousness, which we credit with objectivity.

As I am a long-time observer of my dreams, which I credit as reflecting elements of the 90% knowledge hid within the Other within myself, I continue to be amazed by the messages that I receive from it.

Last night, I found myself taken by a dream on a stealth mission. I was walking, accompanied with my cat Tiger (an orange tabby) of many years ago. We were walking through a wood; indeed, we were sneaking through the wood back to my house in the countryside. Tiger, my alter ego, came along only so far. When we came to a buddy ditch that ran through the middle of the wood, he refused to cross it and follow me any further. I continued on until I could see my house. To my surprise, the wingless body of a white drone was parked at the edge of the wood at the back of my house. I had no idea what it was doing there, except that it reminded me of Moby Dick. I guessed that it had been planted there by the government as a Trojan horse, i.e., that government agents could point to it as an excuse for breaking into my house. Indeed, as I approached the body of the airplane, I noticed that smoke was coming from the chimney of my house. Perhaps it was a signal the Vatican curia had gathered inside and was confirming to me that peace is kept only through deterrence.

Recovering from Cannibalism

The Westphalian Peace Treaty effectively killed the history of religion in the West by substituting it with a pseudo history of same, re: the story of Bethlehem, the story of Easter, the story of being fed to the lions, etc.

Along with such romanticized creations, the history of the origins of early Christianity, too, is now being subjected to the dust bin. The Catholic Inquisition, which humiliated early Christians with torture so they could hear themselves scream, was but a forerunner to a Catholic priesthood, which replaced by and abandoned by the priests of Wall Street, for some time now has turned to the practice of pedophilia as proof of its persuasive powers vis a vis the innocent http://america.aljazeera.com/opinions/2014/2/the-vatican-stillprotectspedophilepriests.html .

Pseudo history has turned the world upside down, as they say, and made its victims, both, early and late Christianity, impotent entities.

This writer has no difficulty in accepting the neo-Christian version of Christianity if the latter makes a full confession of its belatedly rediscovered real history, edits tax collectors out of the New Testament, and honors the Christians it destroyed. If this is not done, I will not be surprised if Islam replaces the present Christian institutions, and churches are rebuilt into pseudo-mosques as in the early days of neo-Christianity, it destroyed the sacred sites in the wood of so many native Christianities—those of my own people (the Latvians) including—and built on the site a pseudo-church.

The problems created by lies of many centuries duration are profound and difficult to solve. One example is provided by Judaism, which suffers like Islam from a secular branch known as Zionism making out like the kuku bird in the nest of the true faithful  http://www.nkusa.org/aboutus/zionism/judaism_isnot_zionism.cfm , where even the kuku’s hatchlings intimidate and dispossess the true owners with sharp and pushy nails. Other kukus are the so-called Islamic terrorists who glory in militarism and cruelty toward their victims, as their very opposite—the cologned and peace spewing Christian priests who walk to greet us over a well kept Persian rug, and excuse ‘just wars’ by means of peace through deterrence (thank God for the nuclear bomb!).

The logic of these perversions has been rehearsed over and over again for a long time until John and Jane Q. Public (the ludis of our time) acquire the well deserved reputation of  dumb f**ks and c**ts and the state run by oligarchs and their globalization schemes, for lack of alternatives, become a shoe in.

Those living in the West are literally left with the choice faced by the Aztec God Nanauatzin: whether to jump into the pit of fire made by one’s own or escape into the night where the Sun, turned charcoal black (?black hole), lies on a bed of black sheets for a lack of an offering of human courage and life.

When I think of ‘those’, it includes me as well.

Just a few days ago, after drinking a cup of tea made from the head of a dried, powdered and well seeped Amanita muscaria mushroom, I had a dream in which I saw myself returning from a movie house.

Strangely enough, what I remembered of the ‘movie’ was all of a dark and empty auditorium; in short, I remembered nothing of what I had gone to experience. Feeling almost bodiless, and disappointed, I then discovered in my hand a primitive example of a mobile telephone—a tin can of what had been a can peas. At the bottom of the can was a string that led to someplace I did not know where. I put the tin to my lips:

“Are you there?” I asked, not sure if I would get an answer.

To my surprise, I heard a voice respond: “I am here”.

Who did the voice of ‘I am here?’ belong to?

Perhaps the answer is provided by the Tibetan singing bowls as well as bells. Now that I am awake, I believe that my dream repeated to me an archetypal idea: there is an Other on the other side of the quantum (the ‘know not where’), who assures us: neither pain, nor death, nor government, nor movies unremembered will spark a plug https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2udCm7DMzU unless the spark (you, your voice, your eye) jumps the gap and kills the cannibal who for fear to jump stays put and eats his own.

God’s War = Christian Civil War

 

The Peace Treaty of Westphalia (1648) ended religious wars in Europe http://www.schillerinstitute.org/strategic/treaty_of_westphalia.html . While Protestants, Lutherans specifically, were the obvious benefactors or the peace treaty, the ‘peace’ engendered new wars, of which the War of the Industrial Age, which began about the year 1800 and is ending about now, devastated the nature-at-large on our planet by unleashing secularized Capitalism (accumulation of anything) on a global scale.

 

The treaty also engendered and maintained many falsehoods. For example, my own country of Latvia, which was engendered by the Bohemian religious sect of Herrnhuters, were ultimately denied their accomplishment, because Lutherans were able to point to the treaty, which not only established sovereignty of nations, but created Lutheranism as a de jure revolutionary religious power. As a consequence of having established the middle class as the prevailing class, the treaty denied equal rights to the ludi, who were the ‘common people’, and who exuded an unpleasant ‘smell’ when coming in contact with the inhabitants of the city, where middle class Lutherans were largely residing.

 

In spite of such kudos, the peace treaty introduced a new calamity: it unleashed Capitalism and secularist Christianity (communism).

 

While we know that Capitalism and Communism fought among themselves a civil war known as the Cold War, and that this war was ‘won’ by Capitalism, the latter began an expansion toward the East, of which the current undeclared war in the Ukraine is the beginning of a much larger and more extensive war than presently imagined.

 

Under the rubric of ‘more extensive’ comes recognition of a new history, which is what my blogs are proposing a story for. Such a history will be necessary for the powers to the East of West to create the moral ground necessary to justify the devastation the war (likely to be a prolonged one) is likely to unleash.

 

The war will also release heretofore repressed religious forces as my previous blog (408) argues. By repressing religious wars, the Treaty of Westphalia left unresolved the nature of westernized history, which the defeat of Byzantium in an earlier age allowed the Catholic Church to introduce. The revised story of history resulted in many misinterpretations. For example, it may be argued that Lenin introduced communism, a secular and Christianized form capitalism, which, to use a current phrase, was to bear ‘a human face’. As we know, the ‘human face’ as interpreted by Stalin continued the war of revisionism (Marx and Engels) against the ludi. The immediate forebears of present-day Ukrainians bore much of the brunt of Stalin’s terror, which created irrational angst that supports Ukrainian nazism which is exploited by the federal government of the U.S.

 

The renowned ‘terrorists’ of our day, who claim the religion of the Islam as their own, are in large part a consequence of the Treaty of Westphalia. Prophet Mohammed created a ‘new’ religion out of his disappointment over the defeat of the early Christians (turned over to the Greek-Russian Orthodox Church) by the Gothic Christians of the West. While the Russian Orthodox Church has retained many ritualistic aspects of the early Christian congregations, it accepted the revised ‘New Testament’, written by those who favored forms of government created by the system of ‘new wealth’. Contrary to their wishful thinking, after the consolidation of taxation as ‘the new order’, the brunt of ‘the order of the eye of the pyramid’ was borne by the ludi.

 

The war in the Middle East, of which the war in the Ukraine is part, is a war arising from the repression of an extended map of Transcaucasian ludi https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=map+of+the+transcaucasus , who—as I have been arguing—coincide, more or less, with the former people of the wood exercising their right to their interpretation of longue durée history. It is they who give rise to the warriors, aka ‘terrorists’, and in due course deliver their inheritance as proto-communist warriors to Lenin and Stalin. If the same, now become Muslim ‘terrorists’ (of whom the Ukrainian Banderists are, not surprisingly, close cousins), gain the upper hand over the West (or East), where populations are largely neo-Christian in orientation, they will not hesitate to kill a large number of them in an irrational frenzy of anti-Stalinist revenge—though they will not know whence the motivation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NePChnsuMNs.

 

The above ought to give sufficient reasons to do further research on the chronology of history as proposed by the Russian mathematician Anatoly Fomenko. A new chronology and a new story will go hand in hand, and will inform us of what we will at a later time perceive as obvious. Last, but not least: Orthodox Christianity and Russia need to come clean on the nature of history—if either has the will to survive the attack of the Goths.

War—A Form of Vampirism

Michael Lowy, French sociologist writes: “For Marx, the origin of capitalism does not relate to any religious ethics, but to a brutal process of plundering, murder and exploitation, which he describes as "the primitive accumulation of capital.” http://newpol.org/content/marx-and-weber-critics-capitalism As real as murder and exploitation is, “a brutal process of plundering” soon makes it virtual and unreal to those who are doing the murdering. The simple reason for this is that the guys who accumulate capital sit in velvet and leather offices and their secretaries, the ones who send out the directives, will give them a fuck anytime they wish. It is great for forgetting the consequences of any deed by a written word. It is the beginning of the creation of a virtual world by virtue of taxation.

The failure by Marx is to fail to see that accumulation of capital starts with taxation and that taxation leads to a form of government unknown to the ludi (or is it monkeys?) of the wood. As the ‘primitive’ governments of the ludi, lutvi (?eventually Latvians) and the Indians of Amazon show, such ‘primitive’ governments are self-governing households of as many people as a households manages to acquire and create a tradition of. The typical Latvian household was formed by the immediate family to which, as time went on, were added any number of individuals who for one reason or another found themselves without a family support system, but were welcome as an additional hand at securing a life in the wood. The Latvi called this system of self-governance ‘a saime’, which word from the word ‘saite’, a belt, a bond. This fits neatly with my retrospective projection as being the time when the tax system became consolidated and sure of itself. Nevertheless, the word may be traced back even further to the perception of the dead among the Slavik ludi. As I suspect most everyone knows, our post-modern time is witnessing the collapse of governments established by taxation for the simple reason that there is no one to tax anymore—at least not among those we still may call ludi or people.

The sense of anxiety among those of us who live in the virtual labyrinth (no longer the real one, which we knew as the forest or wood), the city, arises from our belated realization that it is a human approximation of the desert. That is to say, when the cities of the world have become so ubiquitous as to have exhausted every corner of nature on our planet of its resources (once known as ‘gifts of nature’), it becomes inevitable that the financial system of our pseudo-civilization collapses—regardless of what government propaganda says and federal banking system does. It is the financial system which speaks to us first, even as governments continue to deny the obvious.

The human population of our planet is faced with the inevitability of having to return to the wood; of having to scrap our automobiles and begin raising horses again; of having to go from a virtual environment back to a real environment. The dreams of oligarchs are at an end and they are quite right to be in a state of panic, which forces them to seek solutions in highly unrealistic schemes such as printing money ad infinitum and planning wars of world conquest known as globalization. The people of the Ukraine do not yet understand that consumer society has come to a ‘virtual’ end. While the country has little woods left and is entirely dependent on the largesse of the Russians with regard to gas as what keeps them warm in winter, large as the country may be, it is the canary with regard to the present state of the world.

Is human kind able to make the transition from the Industrial Age back to the age of the wood without poisoning our entire planet with radiation and other ‘goodies’ from nuclear meltdowns?
