Eso’s Chronicles 258/ Act 3
Addend 18—Adam Adammovich
Act 3
© Eso A.B.

Adam: Ra-zhannychka, go ask your mothers,
if the priest Tiresias is among those
who have come for me?
Tell your mothers to lay away the knives,
and ask the high priest to come and
speak with me by himself.
Ra-zhannychka: Yes, father,
I know him, I saw him.
He comes dressed with a ‘thing’ four feet long.
Adam: Ra-zhannychka, that is unusual,
Is it not?
Ra-zhannychka: Yes, father,
he’s already told,
he’s come to see you without yours.
Adam: That is curious. Why?
Has someone told him what ails me?
Ra-zhannychka, be so good,
Bring me my three-foot long one,
It hangs on the peg behind the door,
and bring your handkerchief.
And tell your mothers to prepare
us a lethal dose of cocaine.
And, Ra-zhannychka,
Something else ….
Ra-zhannychka: Yes, father.
Adam: Ra-zhannychka,
I want you to do as I ask,
and when you are done,
steal yourself away and run
to your grandmothers and hide among them.
Do not come back to this house,
until you bear us a son.
He will be of you, your mothers, and me,
whoever the father be.
Chorus: (aside) My son, he, like me
must have four wives
and a girl like you, Razhannyk, to carry on the fight
in the event that he like we lose it.
Now, go! And bring with you your handkerchief!
(Ra-zhannychka exits…)
Story Teller: Well, I have said it before: there works within us a greater intelligence, a genee with a memory that is more enduring than our own. The French were the first to take notice of it and called it longue duree http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernand_Braudel . Perhaps this is because the French were called, at an earlier time, Franks; and the Franks came from an area now known as Romania. The Franks changed their name, because they could not bear the thought of their defeat at the hands of the Turkic tribes. Yet the Franks within them continued to live on, and their memories did not die as quickly as we now presume.
When the Franks were near defeat a second time, this time by the English (that was only six hundred years ago), and their would-be king (dauphin) was not king because of timidity and lack of conviction, there came from the midst of the Franks one Joan of Arc http://www.biography.com/people/joan-of-arc-9354756 , also called the Maid or Pucelle, the last which may mean boy-girl. This name has its own longue duree history: puika means boy in Estonian (of a Uralic language group http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_language ), and puishele (boy-girl) may be the equivalent of ‘pucelle’. How this came to be, I do not know. In any event, the role of Joan is like that of Ismene. Ismene was the only survivor of the court of Oedipus the King, who (no one said a word about it) did not have the nerve to slaughter enough Turks to keep Byzantium for Byzantines, but succumbed to the attacks of the Tartars as the Turks were then known. Ismene was the only one to survive, but disappeared from the stage of history as if she never was.
Perhaps it was meant to be, so that today, she may reincarnate herself as Ra-zhannychka. Having lived her young life in incest with her mothers and father, she grew up as a boy-girl. Like the Earth-Mother of the Aztecs, Coatlicue, Lady of the Serpents Skirt, who lived on Snake Mountain, and swept the floor of her temple until a feather drifted into her lap bearing the Sun’s own seed, Ra-zhannychka was sent after her father’s three foot Other-self, which men of the day—they wore no pants—hung from their belts and carried between their legs, to community events. Of course, I have made this up, but it fits the story.
Incidentally, one does not have to be an anthropologist to think or speak about ancient myths.
(Ra-zhannychka reenters…)
Ra-zhannychka:  Everything is alright, father.
Mothers are entertaining our guests.
Dressed in socks to their thighs
And gloves to their armpits,
they are all running naked through our field of nettles.
If you listen, you can hear them scream
(She laughs:)
Here’s your thing.
and my handkerchief.
Adam: Thanks, Ra-zhannyk.
Now turn your back while I get dressed.
(Ra-zhannychka turns her back to her father, while Adam puts the ‘thing’ between his legs, straps on the belt, and hooks the ‘thing’ to it. He does so in full view of the audience. When done, he takes the handkerchief and places it over the head of the penis. The lights on stage dim slowly.)
Adam: Ra-zhannychka , When I am done,
do not forget to put the kerchief into your zhanka.

Eso’s Chronicles 257/ Act 2
Addend 17—John Adammovich
Act 2
© Eso A.B.

Chorus (left): Once upon a time
War meant a fight for survival.
This is why the first war machine was
woman, man, and their children.
They were enclosed in a halo of Sunlight.
They practiced incest as soon as
They could feel their body ecstatic.
This made them loyal to each other beyond belief.
Ecstasy was a daily thing.
Like tickling one’s self, it is not the same thing
as when another does it for you.

Chorus (right): Then a tiger came into their midst.
Or perhaps they came to where
the beast of such fearful symmetry ruled the wood
and with aggressive delight ate
as sensate cats do
all flesh that comes their way.

At night, the beast—burning bright—tore through
the shelter walls of the bacchants
and with beastly ecstasy tore to death so many
that the voices of incest screamed with such pain
that Adam rose and
ordered the shelters of all bacchants,
meaning ‘incest makers’ then,
joined in a row on both sides of the path.
Entrances faced the street,
Backdoor were backed by a fence;
the ends of the street were blocked by gates.
Adam went and walked guard there.

Adam: The tiger feared nothing.
It came at me with fearless desire
And jumped through the air in an arc
that only my spear in its throat could stop.
It could not stop the cat from tearing from me
My chest and my heart.

Chorus: When in the morning the bacchants
found Adam dead, they sang the tiger praise
for causing Adam to make such great sacrifice,
and covered Adam with buchas
(meaning kisses in Latvian).
They did not cease their praises of him until
they had made Adam’s oldest son John their King.
and had exacted from him a promise
to be no less ecstatic in his dying.
All women made themselves available to him.

Chetseri (dream team of men):
That is when women invented handkerchiefs
for their other men. Hence their sons were named
Johns Adamnovich.

Chetseri (dream team of women):
Eve shaved off her tush,
so other men could see her slit better.
And the kingdom of John Adamnovich,
(taking the name of Jerusalem, or Nakedecstasy,
or fleeced sheep),
expanded until a hegemon,
and spared the bacchants from attacks
by leopards, tigers, and lions.

Ŗa-zhannichka: Uncle Adam, uncle Adam!
The King’s men and priests are knocking at our door.
Mothers have armed themselves with knives
and have covered their tush with hedgehog skins.

Adam: The bastards! The cowards!
Did it have to come to this?
They call their Holy Mount: Guantanamo,
where men are muted and
marines in camouflage suits
strut before their victims with carrots stuck up their arse.

Ŗa-zhannychka: Uncle Adam, uncle Adam!
Come with me. Quick!

Adam: Go tell them, dear,
We cannot fight them!
The urbanites are now like ants.
If we step on them, they will crawl up our crotches
and sting us until we wish ourselves dead.

Story Teller: So it goes. Sons born to evil urban streets are drilled straight on the parade ground by a carrot and the threat of the law. Soon other men began to envy Adam his kingdom, and we heard say that sacrifice of life is a fool’s domain. We heard that a kingdom could be had by making the bacchants feel fear. Soon sacrifice no longer was done by Adam and John, but by men taken as prisoners of war and killed before the witness of men and women invited to come enjoy the sight of a spectacle, said to be worthy of the attendance of Gods.

The Gods did not always come though. When the prisoners—said to be ecstatic—because they were forced to dance, play flutes, and ascend the high stairs of the temple to the beat of drums (three steps up, two steps down), not all could make the last seven steps to the top, but had to be assisted to the platform by prods of spears, where five priests, four seizing the victim’s arms and legs, and one making the incision below the ribcage, thrust his arm up the chest to squeeze the arteries shut, then tear the still beating heart, its arteries attched to show it to the Sun.

I have witnessed a similar scene in a travelogue video, of tribesmen, east of Lake Baikal, killing a goat for the meal of their Latvian motorist visitors: four men at each leg, the fifth doing the killing by reaching his hand up the left side of the chest to squeeze shut the arteries, then driving a wood plug into the heart to stop it from beating. I seem to recall that a spear was also thrust into the left side of the chest of Jesus after he was hung on he cross. Two women (or was it four?) stood at the foot of the cross. Such longue duree memories endure for a long time into the future—its reasons for being what it is forgot.

For another example—the author of this story does not believe that Jesus was crucified, but was cast into a pit of burning logs. The New Testament remembers this only by recalling Jesus sitting by a fire early in the morning in the high priest’s courtyard. On the other hand, the Aztecs tell the same story through the story of the lowest of their Gods (a God suffering of venereal desease) called Nanauatl (Nanauatzin), who of all the Gods was the only one who had the courage to cast himself into the pit of fire, so that the Sun, left in the sky motionless, by the speedsters of modern science, would begin to move its course.

This is difficult to say. Some will call it blasphemy. But does not the story of Nanauatzin—presuming that it reflects the story of John Basil of Bysantium--suggest that the secret that Judas whispered—and got paid thirty pieces of silver for—was that Jesus suffered from a venereal disease? The strict omission of speculation about all things sexual effecting Jesus' life makes it plausible that the secret was of an intimate nature. Is this also not the very secret that is turned against men and women who have political stature?

Eso’s Chronicles 256/ Act 1
Addend 16—Adam Adamnovich
Act 1 cont.
© Eso A.B.

Chorus: What happened then?
You are still here!
Your heart still beats within you.

Adam: The four maids. They saved me.
As priesteses of the Sun,
it was their’s to sacrifice me.
But when the time came,
They spread my legs and said:
‘We want now to hear you scream!’
And they cut off my balls.

The male priests about guffawed.
They had never witnessed it done before.
They appreciated the maids’ wit.
Because temple rules said that a man without testes
is not acceptable to the Sun,
they left me alive.

Chorus: But the maids bore you children.
Did they not?

Adam: Yes, two sons and two daughters.
But the priests ruled that because I went free,
These would be sacrificed in my stead.
The maids, now mothers all, were furious
and swore revenge.

To help cure me of my loss,
they brought before me lowly peasant men
and had them swear to them and me
the oath to the Sun
(I am a man of my testes
Sworn to be faithful to you, Nanauatzina, even unto death),
then had them fuck them before my eyes
until my Other was cured and
knew to stand again.

Chorus (left): How could you watch?

Adam: It made me young again!
As that old painter Picasso knew so well.

Story teller: And so it was. While Adam Adamnovich is from the Black Sea area and the worshippers of the Sun are from around the Baltic Sea (Alas! Almost all of them have by now forgotten their halo and Sun-fire embraced forebears…), who sailed not only to the seas of the South, but also navigated far West to the lands of the Feathered Serpent.

The Feathered Serpent, Quetzacoatl of the Aztecs, who are forebears to today’s Mexican people, who, too, have forgot their Sun gods http://www.aztec-history.com/aztec-sun-god.html , was feathered in goose feathers. This is how—though argued by our submissive historians as being untrue, though few deny that their testes are in the grasp of modern ‘democratic’ governments—the ‘Greeks’ and the ‘Balts’ discovered America long before the usurping West sent the pirate Columbus http://www.reformation.org/columbus-unmasked.html to discover what had never been lost except it was substituted by the chutzpah of the armored God Huitzilopochtli http://www.allabouthistory.org/huitzilopochtli-faq.htm , born by his own goose feathered hand. Not surprisingly, this story was later denied, and it is now said that he was born of a virgin, into whose lap God drifted down as a down feather, only to seize our planet by storm the moment he was born.

Another name of the Aztec Sun is Nanauatl (Nanauatzin) or Tonatuih, though I would ad to each of these names the vowel ‘a’, making read Huitzilopochtla, Nanauatla (Nanauatzina) and Tonatuiha. The last makes the Moon Goddess (known as Mehnesnihca in Latvian) a true ‘smoking mirror’, the smoke but a reflection of clouds driven by the Goddess of the Winds, Eve (Ehecatla) or Vehya (as the Latvians had her).

In any event, the birth of Huitzilopochtli is but the story of the birth of Jesus, who, too, was born of a down feather drifting into the lap of Mary. How so, you want to know? Don’t you know that the Egyptian Gods Atum, Ptah, and Osiris came into our world by their own hands, which were dressed in bird down by the Sun, when She waved her winged legs over Osiris’ unresponding body part, which one of the four Aztec priesteses had just relieved Adam of?

Adam: For all that, our world was not to be. Just as the government of Latvia today hides thousands of names of KGB agents, because the names of its own are among them, so the National Security Agencies of governments everywhere keep the mouths of writers shut and their computer keyboards print ‘different sets for different lets’.

Chetseri (dirty dream team): The globalizers, Christians,
Came to Latvia….
They killed our Johns, Adams Adamnoviches,
And made the children of our apple trees orphans.

Chorus (left) (sings): Maza biju neredzēju,
kur gulēja tēvs, māmulīņ….

Chorus (right) (sings): Nu uzgāju ganīdama,
kur gulēja tēvs, māmulīņ….

Chorus (together): Pie ābeles piespiedos,
Kā pie savas māmuliņ’s.
Birzt ābelei balti ziedi,
Birst man gaužas asaras.

Translator: I was too young to know
When or where father and mother died…
Now, as I herd the sheep,
I discover their graves.

I press to the wild apple tree,
as if she were my mother.
While the apple sheds
white blossoms, I shed bitter tears.

(Enter Razhannichka. She runs out of breath)

Ŗa-zhannichka: Uncle Adam, uncle Adam!
My mothers send me.
The President’s body guards and priests are here.
They’ve come to arrest us all,
for planning to sacrifice the government
to our Gods.

Adam: The bastards!

Eso’s Chronicles 255/ 41
Addend 15—Urban Tyranny & Incest
© Eso A.B.

In the country of my birth, Latvia, the Sun, Saule, is still of the feminine gender. This enables me to think of Saule as the smiling face of my mother.

However, when the Jewish ‘mohel’, through the trauma of circumcision and his mouth as a presumptuous cure replaced the womb with the ‘word’ (aka ‘law’), the feminine was replaced by the male, and turned every aging male into a sinner.

As the male ages (and who does not?), life being what it is, he, logically, looks for a way to escape death. An old married man with children finds the potential of immortality in his children, because they are, in a sense, an extension of himself; while the old single man, feeling death creeping up on him, escapes it through a ‘wet dream’ in which he has sex with his mother. I was quite surprised, when not long ago, I was visited by just such a dream. While a full erection these days without the aid of a pill is nigh impossible, the dream had no difficulties providing me with one, as my Other drove itself into my mother full force and gave itself full vent. My mother, now many years dead, made me neither welcome nor made objection, but appears did, as mothers are wont, her motherly duty.

Of course, I felt as guilty as Adam and Eve felt, when they, having become desentianized by the words of priests and other lawmakers, discovered themselves no longer dressed by the halo of the Sun, but naked and about to be bit by an atheist serpent taking on the role of the law and moralist.

In an age where the mindset of humanism makes an Atheist as common as once was a Theist, the immortality of the Mind becomes a Revolutionary theory of the utmost daring, mind you, not of young minds, but old men.

The famous play of Oedipus Rex, tells the story of how a young man, trying to escape a curse that told him that he would marry his mother and slay his father, came to marry his mother (it was at the mother’s contriving—as I have retold the story in “Oedipus Rex Rewritten” (http://oedipusrexrewritten.blogspot.com). My latest version of the famous plot has Oedipus meet his mother when both are old and physical sexuality between them has become impossible on a conscious level for reasons of physiology and psyche, where it may picture such a relationship as obscene.

Still, the play must go on!

How does it go on?

It goes on by being re-re-written. This time, I call the play “Adam Adamonovich & Ra-Zhenchina”. I will have the play follow the rough outline of my already re-written OedipusRex, except that Queen Iocaste is now a grandmother to Antigone’s children and her name is Ra-ganna (pronounced Ra-zhanna, meaning fruitfull, bountiful), while the grandchild in question is called Ra-Zhenchina. Ra-Zhenchina, who is a twelve thirteen year old girl.

The play begins (is introduced) with a story teller. He or she tells the curse of the Old Witch, who visits Adam at his aunt’s residence in Corinth. Meirope and Ra-zhanna her sister, both in their early lives served as whores at the Corinthian Sun Temple. While Ra-Zhanna marries King Adam of Thebes, Meirope marries King Polybus of Corinth.

Adam: sixty years ago when I came of age
and
Corinth was to initiate me as its full citizen,
a witch, a Ra-Zhanna, a daughter of the Sun, visited me,

Saying she came from Thebes with an important message.

We sat under an old oak,
its branches heavy with acorns.
She laid upon the grass a white linen sheet
and we waited for a finch to alight on a branch.
When it did, the witch hit the branch so hard,
the acorns fell out of their cups.

She read the lay of the seeds and predicted
that I would kill my father
and a fearing death

I would lie with my mother.

The prophecy scared me,

but the witch comforted.

Everything will be all right, she said,
if I leave Corinth,
destroyed the child-eating Sphinx,

the winged toad in the wood,
burn its temple, blind its priest,

cut down the sacred grove,
and accepted the throne in
Thebes,
from its grateful people.

I would then be honored as an urban man.

But it did not happen as one may think.
I did not flee Corinth.

Instead, I sought out the truth,
this was plain and simple enough:
I had earned the curse, because
my mother, Ra-Zhanna, Queen of Thebes,
had refused to offer me as a sacrifice
to the Gods of Thebes, but
hid me away with her sister,
who had married King Polybus of Corinth,
where such sacrifices had been discontinued.

When I learnt about all this,
I returned to Thebes on my own and
spoke with my father, Adam Cadmonovich,
and offered myself as a sacrifice,
for which the Gods as proscribed by old rituals,
promised to repay me with four times descendants

Chorus: What did you do?
How did it go?

Adam: It went as according to the book.
For a whole year I wandered the streets of Thebes
and played flutes and maidens fluttered their handkerchiefs
or hands fluffed with goose down
from every city alley,
and when I saw one desirable and went to her,
she covered me with kisses and pulled me off
to dig the cloth or feathers under the sod
of her maize garden.

It was a the Thebans say a “razhens gads”
(a year of plenty).

And when the next to the last, the twelfth moon, came,
the King, my father, sent me four
of the most beautiful maidens of Thebes
for me to have my way with.
The maidens would pull me off until
one last time, they would pull from me also my heart.

The King also presented me with an ounce of cocaine
That I could lay on the maidens’ cunts if they did not scream
the way it pleasured me.

Chorus: Ai! Ai! Ai!
How did it go?

Adam: There was screaming loud enough
for all of Thebes to enjoy!
There was enough coke left
For me to ascent the steps of Temple Major
without fear.
